Sarah May MacRae

Sarah May (Tobin) MacRae (Sis) North River, NS It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Sarah (Sis) MacRae, age 73, of North River, with her children by her side. Born on May 23, 1946 to the late David and Christina (McGean) Tobin in Sydney Mines, NS. Sarah lived for the past 20 years in North River with her late husband Sandy. They enjoyed their beautiful view on the hill with the tea pot constantly on, always welcoming family and friends. Sarah worked for many years as PCW at Alderwood Rest Home. She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Chruch and a member of the choir. She is survived by her daughter Evelyn (Dave), son Clarence "Sharky" (Marcie), and her step-children Brad (Barbie), Frank (Shelley) and Barbara Jean. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Aaron (Sarah), Kayle (Melissa), Breagh and Alyssa. Great grandchildren Carter, Lincoln, Cash and a baby girl on the way.She is also survived by many step-grandchildren. Sarah is survived by her sisters, Biddie and Margie, brothers, Sonny (Mariam) and Jimmy (Lola) sister-in-laws, Mary, Ruth, Gwen and Rita along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Sandy, grandson Cory, sister Cecelia (Dave), brothers John(Carolyn) and David, as well as brother-in-laws Bruce, Buck, Murdock, Ian and Kerr. Funeral service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian church in North River.
